This medal from the Reserve Life Insurance company shows its founder, Charles A. Sammons on the reverse, and it's logo and motto on the reverse. RLI was started in 1938 in Dallas, Texas. In the 1950's Sammons began to diversify and started Sammons Enterprises, the private umbrella corporation that included RLI as well as many other businesses crossing over many industries. At one point, ti was a conglomerate of over 90 companies. RLI was dissolved by Sammons Enterprises in 1990, but the larger company is now one of the largest privately held companies in the world.
