Robert F. Kennedy was the 64th Attorney General of the United States, and a Senator from Massachusetts from 1965-1968. Like his brother, John, RFK was a staunch defender of human civil rights. He was assassinated in 1968 just three months after declaring himself a candidate for the office of the President. The obverse shows the head of RFK facing right, and the reverse shows an American Bald Eagle in front of the American shield and holding olive branches and arrows.
