General Colin Powel is a career soldier who rose to the rank of Four-Star General. While serving gallantly in the Vietnam War. Returning from Vietnam, Powell found himself as an officer in South Korea, stationed in Colorado, after which he moved to a military career as an advisor for high ranking officials, including presidents. He spent time as Commander of V Corps in Germany; Senior Military Assistant to Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger; National Security Advisor for Ronald Reagan Commander in Chief, Forces Command for George HW Bush; and finally Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff for George HW Bush. It was his leadership, integrity and professionalism as Chairman during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm that congress awarded General Powell with the Congressional Gold Medal.
